Albert Einstein was quoted as saying, “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over expecting different results.” As we’re winding down in 2017, what are you going to do differently in 2018? If you don’t have a new plan in place now for 2018, how can you expect better results next year?
Here are a few tips to help you get everything in order:
Content
Prepare your evergreen content for 2018 now so you can put some strategy in it.
Look at last year’s calendar and see what was eventful in your business. Would the same be true this year? If so, create content around that.
What events, tradeshows, annual meetings, etc. will you be attending? Plan on sharing content about that.
Look at the calendar and see what is applicable to your business and create content around that.
Do you have clients you can highlight? If so, include that.
Is your business affected by seasonality? Create content related to that.
Lay out a calendar January through December and start adding topics you can create content around.
Scheduling
Plan ahead and get evergreen posts scheduled so you don’t have to worry about them.
Did you know you can easily schedule posts on Facebook? Create your post just like you normally would but instead of “publish,” click on the button next to it and schedule it.
Cinchshare is a great scheduling tool for Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Pinterest. They are also connected with Canva so you can design your posts right there in the app and then schedule it.
Other tools to check out are Hootsuite and Buffer for scheduling. They’re all good. Go with what you find easiest so you do it!
Carve out a few hours in 2017 to knock out all of your content for 2018. Potential customers/clients, the media, anyone you plan to work with WILL check you out so make sure you check out by having great content.
