Hi everybody. It’s Christina Daves with this week’s Get Famous Friday PR Tip. This week, I want to talk about – Is your story shareable? Is it something that the media can put out there, and there’s a chance that it could go viral and will be shared by lots of people?
One of my friends and colleagues who used to be an anchor in the newsroom said, the mantra used to be, “If it bleeds it leads’ and now it’s, “If it’s shareable it’s airable.” So make sure your story has enough pizzazz that the newsroom or the producer thinks that that’s something that could be shared by lots of people online. So you want to come up with a story that is shareable. Think of things that you like on social media. How do you give your story that extra ”wow” factor to make it shareable? So that is this week’s Get Famous Friday PR Tip.
