Hi everybody! It’s Christina Daves with this week’s Get Famous Friday PR Tip. I thought I would start incorporating some case studies in here so you guys can really see how this works. So one of the tips is doing a follow-up phone call after you pitch the media.

And I wanted to share a story with you with my client Matt who wrote a book about a A.D.D called The A.D.D. Entrepreneur. We pitched the story to the local NBC station, and it was good. We knew, we did our homework. We knew the anchor loved, she one of the top-ranking anchors, but she loves entrepreneurial stories and she’s also the medical anchor so it was a perfect tie-in for that. So we pitched and we didn’t hear back. Well, it was the follow-up phone call and the producer said, “I am so glad you called back. I love that story. It got buried in my email.” This pushes it back to the top and he was featured not only on local NBC, but it was filmed in such a way so that other stations across the country could pick it up and he was syndicated all across the U.S.

So that’s this week’s PR Tip. Just a case study follow-up on why the follow-up phone call is so important. And if you like this tip and you want to learn more, join the PR Challenge if you haven’t done so yet. It’s at www.YourPRChallenge.com. 10 days, it’s maybe 10 minutes a day, probably not even 10 minutes a day, to get massive, massive visibility for your business. So I can’t wait to see you in the Challenge and I can’t wait to see you in the media.
