Welcome to PR for Anyone™ — my labor of love to help small business owners, entrepreneurs, and authors learn to easily and effectively generate their own publicity.
Why do I care? Because, I am you! It was just last year that I was a fledgling small business owner searching for information on doing my own PR.
I am an entrepreneur who created a product (www.healinstyle.com) and had no money to hire a publicist. I had a warehouse full of merchandise and needed to tell the world about it. I had no choice but to teach myself everything I could about PR and now I want to share that knowledge with you.
In less than a year, either me or my product was featured in over 50 media outlets including national television, local television, national and local print, radio, and blogs. This was done without any knowledge of PR, no contacts, and no idea what I was doing.
I truly believe that if I can do it, anyone can.
We’re all so busy so the key to this is learning how to do it quickly and efficiently. The great news for you is that I’ve made a ton of mistakes and figured out what works and what doesn’t. Once you have the tools in place and know how to submit to the media effectively, you will see results.
Don’t miss out on hearing what experts in the industry are saying in our free video series, Expert’s Corner, at prforanyone.com/experts-corner. They share awesome tips to help you submit your ideas to them more effectively.
What I hear frequently is that time is a big issue. Nobody thinks they have the time to do PR. First of all, you absolutely need to make the time because it’s really important. If you are covered in the media, that means visibility and credibility which equates to more clients and customers. Publicity basically becomes a third party endorsement of your business.
Secondly, the resources on the site will teach you how to easily and effectively handle your own publicity. We make it easy for you! If you have an hour a week, I believe you will be successful.
If I am any indication of what can be done, than I answer my question above with a resounding “YES”… successful DIY-PR is in fact possible!
